BTS is more successful than ever. Seven months after its 3 week run at No. 1, BTS’ fifth album sits at No. 46, “Swim” is still a Global Excl. US top 10 hit, and the world tour is closing its South American leg with 610,000+ fans.
ARMY, the latest Billboard numbers are in, and BTS is still on the board. “Arirang” landed at No. 46 on the newest Billboard 200, released Tuesday, stretching the group’s stay on the U.S. albums chart to 31 consecutive weeks.
It’s a long way from where this album started. “Arirang” arrived at No. 1 with 641,000 units in its first week and held the top spot for three weeks. This week’s five-spot slide matters less than the staying power: more than seven months after release, it simply won’t leave.
“Swim” is carrying its weight too. The lead track sits at No. 28 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 10 on Global Excl. US. That’s its 30th week in the top 10 of the latter, following a chart-topping debut.
Off the charts, the septet closes the 5 city South American leg of its world tour in São Paulo this weekend, after drawing more than 610,000 fans. The tour picks up again next month in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Chart life and stadium life, running at the same time.
