Kit Connor, the young actor jumped to the fame after his protagonist role in the hit Netflix LGBT+ series, “Heartstopper”, and has now had to come out of the closet, however, he has declared that it was not his own wish, but instead, he was forced to do so, by his own fans.
The 18-year-old actor played Nick Nelson, a school rugby player who was the love interest of one of the protagonists, another boy, in the gay drama. Since then, Kit Connor became one of the favorite stars for the LGBT community, whom showed him a lot of support, but it looks like it came with a lot of pressure with it.
He had decided to leave the social media app Twitter almost 2 months ago, calling the app “dull and dumb” and then deleting it. His reasoning for leaving was that Twitter users had been accusing him of queerbaiting for weeks, which is basically posing as a LGBT+ person just for the fame and attention, while being a heterosexual. The queerbaiting scandal rose after pictures of him holding a girl’s hand were posted online, but it was then clarified that the photos were taken at the set of another project he was participating on.
Now, the British young actor has re-installed twitter to officially come out as bisexual to clear out some of the rumors around him and accuse the internet and the Twitter fans for being toxic about the whole situation.
