Meghan Markle celebrated her 45th birthday on August 4, 2026, sharing the moment with her family’s dogs. The Duchess of Sussex posted a short video on Instagram Stories showing Prince Harry and their pets, Pula and Mia, at home. In the clip, the Sussexes tried to place small silver party hats on the dogs. The celebratory idea did not go as planned, as Mia quickly rolled the floor with the hat beneath her and Pula carried another birthday hat in her mouth.

Prince Harry reacted by saying, “Oh dear,” while Meghan laughed at their attempt. In another moment, Pula briefly kept the hat on before almost losing it while stretching. Meghan then removed the birthday accessory and apologized to the dog. “Let me take it off,” Meghan playfully said. “I’m sorry!” Meghan also celebrated her birthday with two black-and-white pictures. One showed her jumping into a pool while holding balloons, and the second showed her underwater with them.

Previously, Megan had a beagle named Guy before she met Prince Harry. Guy moved with her to the United Kingdom and later to California, where the family settled in 2020. He died in January 2025. Then, Meghan and Harry adopted Pula shortly before their wedding in 2018. Mia joined them in 2022 after being rescued from a breeding and research laboratory in Virginia by the Beagle Freedom Project.
