On September 16, BigHit Music reported that the “MIC Drop” music video surpassed 1.6 billion cumulative views on YouTube on the same day. This marks the fourth BTS music video to reach the 1.6 billion-view milestone, joining “Dynamite,” “Boy With Luv,” and “DNA.”
The “MIC Drop” music video was originally released in November 2017, featuring the remix with Steve Aoki. The song reached No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 10 consecutive weeks. Once again, BTS has showcased their great influence in the international market.
