As the release date for the fourth film in the Spider-Man franchise approaches, the actor has starred in a series of promotional events, including a new commercial titled ‘Super-fan’ alongside the football superstar.
In the commercial released on June 30th, Peter Parker is speaking to the phone in a cafeteria when someone gets inside the shop, leaving the superhero in shock; he hangs up and awkwardly approaches Lionel Messi, who reveals that he is looking for Spider-Man.
Peter leaves and returns as Spider-Man, giving a big surprise to his sports idol and taking him on a flight through the skies of New York City, becoming one of the best crossovers of the theater and sports industries of all times.
‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’ will premiere in theaters this year, July 31st.
