Amid his visit to the United States to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence from Great Britain, King Charles III revealed what impressed him the most during his recent state dinner at the White House alongside Donald Trump.

On April 29th, the British monarch and his wife attended a trade and business event at Rockefeller Center where he got to meet 12 of the most senior chief executives from the United States and the United Kingdom, including Stephen Schwarzman, the CEO of the private equity firm Blackstone.

During their conversation, King Charles III told the businessman that he was “so impressed by the music from the military” at last night’s state dinner, where both were present and which included performances by U.S. military musicians from the Marines, Army, and Air Force.

It is well-known that the head of state is a music fan; according to his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, he “has incredible taste in specifically classical music” that he even helped her and Prince Harry to choose for their wedding in 2018.
