The single also performed strongly in international music scenes. “Less Than a Lover” reached number #1 on iTunes song charts in 27 regions, giving Jennie the highest total for a KPop solo release in 2026, according to OA, Jennie’s self-founded company. Similarly, its music video also moved to the top of YouTube’s worldwide trending video list, proving the project’s visual appeal beyond the music itself.

Less Than A Lover has been described as an alternative pop song that conveys the relaxed feeling of a romantic summer night. The track also has Jennie’s personal touch, as she is credited as a songwriter. Adding to the success of her latest solo release, Jennie also took to social media on July 31, 2026, to thank Tame Impala for their remix collaboration, “Dracula.” The duo performed the viral hit on stage at Boston’s TD Garden on Wednesday, July 30. This marked the first time both artists performed the song live together.
