Through a recent update of his social networks, Prince William interrupts his family’s summer break to share an important message addressing a concerning cause.

On July 27th, amid the royal family’s summer vacations, which pause their commitments with the crown, the Prince of Wales shared a personal message expressing his thoughts on the wildfires ravaging the U.K., Spain and France in recent days.

“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the devastating wildfires across France, Spain and the U.K. We are deeply grateful to the firefighters, emergency services and volunteers working tirelessly in extraordinarily difficult conditions. These events are a stark reminder of the challenges posed by an increasingly extreme climate and the importance of protecting both people and nature.”

This forest emergency has been unleashed in the middle of a summer marked by fierce heatwaves in Europe, where some regions of the continent reached temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius, causing fires that rage near Madrid, Spain; the Bordeaux region in France; and, more recently, Scotland.
