A sweet family moment at “Archie’s Chick Inn”

Meghan Markle shared a sweet family interaction on Thursday, April 30, 2026, when she posted two videos on her Instagram Stories from her home in Montecito, California. The Duchess of Sussex filmed inside the family’s chicken coop, which she and Prince Harry call “Archie’s Chick Inn.” The former royal couple lives at the home with their two children, Prince Archie, who is 6 years old, and Princess Lilibet, who is 4 years old. The videos gave a glimpse into the family’s relaxed moment from a private life interaction.

Two clips showing family interaction

In one clip, Meghan appeared in the chicken coop with Jonathan Grahm, the founder of the Los Angeles chocolate brand Compartés. Meghan joked at the beginning of the clip, “When the chocolate man comes to see the chickens,” as she filmed the visit. Then, she turned the camera toward two of the chickens. In the background, one of her children could be heard saying, “Mom, I got another gray one!” Meghan replied, “Thanks sweetheart,” revealing the heartfelt interaction between the family members.

Meghan Markle’s love for animal rescue

This is not the first time Meghan Markle has shown the chicken coop. In March 2026, she shared a video of Princess Lilibet wearing rainboots and a purple coat while standing near the chickens. But the first time social media and the public saw “Archie’s Chick Inn” was during Meghan and Harry’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. At that time, Oprah noticed a sign that read “Archie’s Chick Inn, established 2021.” Meghan explained that the hens had been rescued from a factory farm and said, “I just love rescuing.”
