BLACKPINK’s Jennie becomes the first female KPop soloist to headline Lollapalooza

BLACKPINK’s Jennie made history at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 1, 2026, becoming the first female KPop solo artist to headline the festival. The “Mantra” singer performed on the Bud Light Stage at Grant Park during the four-day event, which is running from July 30 through August 2.

Jennie’s approximately 65-minute set began at 8:55 p.m. Central Time and included songs from her solo discography. The Korean star opened with “Filter” and continued with tracks such as “Damn Right,” “Mantra,” “ZEN,” “Love Hangover,” “Dracula,” and “Seoul City.” She also introduced four songs that have not been officially released, titled  “Sweet Tooth,” “Fallen Angel,” “Lock It Down,” and “Heaven.” “Sweet Tooth” and “Fallen Angel” received their first live performances during the set. These tracks are expected to be included in Jennie’s next body of work, but they have not been confirmed yet. The concert ended with high-energy hits, including “ExtraL,” “Starlight,” and “like JENNIE.”

Jennie will continue her 2026 solo festival run in Japan later this month. Then, she is scheduled to perform at Summer Sonic in Tokyo on August 14 and in Osaka on August 16. Most recently, the BLACKPINK member released the single “Less Than A Lover” on July 24, 2026, a breezy pop tune with a melancholic vibe that adds variety to her bombastic R&B-leaning catalog.
