ITZY‘s Yeji has tested positive for the new coronavirus, following Lia, according to her management agency JYP Entertainment, as the virus continued to spread at high speed in Korea, fueled by the highly transmissible omicron variant.
JYP Entertainment stated on the group’s official website for fans that Yeji took the PCR test on Sunday and tested positive on Monday.
All the members of the quintet took the first PCR test, on Saturday, to find out if they were infected with the coronavirus, and only Lia tested positive. Ryujin and Chaeryeong tested negative, while Yeji and Yuna retested after receiving uncertain results.

Yeji, fully vaccinated, is receiving self-treatment at home, showing no symptoms except a slight fever, according to JYP.
Yuna, who took the second test together with Yeji, was negative.
