The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an event on August 7, 2026, celebrating 40 years of fundraising for the David Foster Foundation. The organization was created by their longtime friend David Foster and helps Canadian families whose children require major organ transplants. In addition, the foundation also educates on organ donation.

On August 8, Meghan Markle shared several moments from the event on Instagram, including a sweet selfie, smiling with Prince Harry. The mother of two attended the event in a dress made by Canadian designer Greta Constantine. She accessorized her look with iconic diamond-and-sapphire earrings previously worn by Princess Diana. Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex chose a classic black tuxedo and matching bow tie. Meghan kept the post simple by captioning it with a Canadian flag emoji and a red heart.

Her post also included a video showing the couple greeting performers and speaking with other guests at the foundation’s event. The Duchess’ choice to wear Prince Diana’s earrings came about two weeks after Meghan and Prince Harry shared a rare photo of their children, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie, visiting Althorp, where Diana spent much of her childhood. The family’s visit to the UK took place after weeks of speculation and rumors that only Harry would return to Britain due to security concerns.
