BTS keeps expanding their concert experience beyond the stage, making a citywide celebration in New York City ahead of their sold-out performances at MetLife Stadium. The event, called BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK, began on July 24 and continues through August 3. Fans can visit several famous locations across Manhattan and Brooklyn, where landmarks will be lit red, in honor of ARIRANG’s era signature color. The special project follows similar fan events previously held in other major cities, including Las Vegas, London, Seoul, and Busan, giving visitors new ways to get together as fans during BTS’ latest era.

Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center, and the Korean Cultural Center New York are among the main locations taking part in the celebration. Visitors can attend ARMY Madang gatherings, where they can create custom T-shirts, decorate their official light lights, watch exclusive screenings, and see exhibitions featuring iconic stage outfits worn by the members in previous tours. Other attractions include a BTS-themed bus tour, an immersive digital art experience at Arte Museum New York, a welcome party at Marquee and a stamp collecting activity that encourages fans to visit every event location.
Meanwhile, The ARIRANG World Tour began in Seoul in April and will continue across North America, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia through 2027. The New Jersey concerts launch the second United States leg of the tour, which supports the group’s album ARIRANG, released on March 20. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and became the most streamed K’pop album in Spotify history. In addition, the companion single, SWIM, debuted atop of the Billboard Hot 100, giving the seven-member team a number one album and single simultaneously.
