Los Angeles has officially declared September 1 through September 8, 2026, as “BTS Week” to celebrate the group’s visit to the city. BTS will perform four sold-out concerts at SoFi Stadium as part of their ongoing “ARIRANG” World Tour. The group is scheduled to perform on September 1, 2, 5, and 6, marking their first shows at the venue in nearly five years.
The city will also illuminate Los Angeles City Hall in red on September 1 to welcome BTS and fans traveling to attend the concert. Red is one of the key colors for the event, as it is closely aligned with BTS’ album “ARIRANG.” In addition, an official proclamation ceremony was held at Los Angeles City Hall on Monday, with representatives from the City Council, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board, and Big Hit Music in attendance. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said about the designation:
“We are proud to honor the remarkable achievements of BTS, who have made significant contributions to global culture, and to celebrate their special connection with Los Angeles with people around the world.”

City Council member John Lee also highlighted the city’s connection with Korea and its Korean American community. The Los Angeles City Council described BTS as one of the most influential artists of its generation.
“This proclamation honors at the city level the extraordinary mark BTS has left on global culture,” Lee expressed. “At the same time, it celebrates with pride the longstanding ties and cultural exchanges between Los Angeles, Korea and the Korean American community.”

The four concerts will wrap up the North American leg of the “ARIRANG” World Tour and mark BTS’ return to SoFi Stadium after their “Permission to Dance on Stage” concerts in late 2021. After their SoFi Stadium concerts, the 7-member group will head to the Latin American leg of their global run, visiting Colombia, Perú, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil throughout October.
