Buckingham Palace is reinforcing and reassessing operational plans for King Charles III’s upcoming state visit to the United States this week, following the incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. Now, the security is all over the top for the Monarch of the United Kingdom.
The King is scheduled to arrive on Monday alongside Queen Camilla Parker for a four-day trip as part of the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence. The Palace has confirmed that discussions are ongoing with US authorities to determine if adjustments to the visit are required in order to protect both heads of state.

King Charles III was said to be “greatly relieved” that Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and the other attendees were unharmed after a gunman opened fire while attempting to enter the event venue. There might be potential changes on the schedule for King Charles III’s visit, which include limiting public interaction and the reinforcement of officials in the different events where the President and Monarch will be together. Stay tuned for further information.
