In recent days, BTS‘ V made a social networks update showing his commitment to improving his English skills, receiving the praise and support of his leader RM and fans worldwide.
On March 29th, the K-Pop idol took fans by surprise by sharing through his Instagram stories a photo of him studying English with his computer screen with videos of English lessons on YouTube, a study book and video of him mimicking native pronunciations, and practicing everyday phrases.

V wrote, “I’m locking in for real this time,” and added, “No excuses.” Later, the idol made a comment under this story where he asked fans for help: “Please suggest some English sentence books” for him to continue practicing.
In support, RM shared one of the idol videos and wrote, “Good job.” As the leader of BTS and the only member who fluently speaks English, who acts as a translator for his members, he supports V’s intentions to learn the language.
