The fans have spoken! VOCALIST OF THE YEAR 2026: VOTE NOW for the most legendary singer was the ultimate competition to crown the Kpop idol with the most unforgettable voice of 2026, and only the fans could decide who took the win. After 4 rounds and a final round, one name rose above every other nominee: BLACKPINK’s Rosé.
Rosé’s victory caps a year in which her voice was impossible to ignore. In February, she opened the 2026 Grammy Awards alongside Bruno Mars with “APT.,” becoming the first solo K-pop artist to perform on music’s biggest night. The song also earned three nominations: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Her momentum has continued with new music. In September 2026, Rosé released her new single “new trick,” a brighter, more playful pop-rock track that moves away from the heartbreak of her debut album rosie. The music video, directed by Dave Meyers, was shot entirely on the iPhone 18 Pro, and the single completes BLACKPINK’s run of 2026 solo releases.
It is exactly why fans crowned her. After winning Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV VMAs for “APT.,” Rosé proved the hit was only the beginning. Her tone lingers in your mind long after the song ends, and her vocals have become the soundtrack to millions of lives.
Jungkook earned second place
The second spot goes to Jungkook of BTS, whose 2026 was defined by the group’s long-awaited comeback. BTS’ album ARIRANG, released on March 20, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 641,000 equivalent units. Jungkook’s smooth, powerful voice, heard on solo hits like “Seven,” remains a fan favorite.
Jihyo got the third place
Third place belongs to Jihyo of TWICE. The group’s leader and main vocalist kept her solo side busy this year with the collaboration “Distant Lover” featuring Shenseea, while TWICE took their world tour across the globe. Since her solo debut with ZONE, Jihyo has proven her vocals can shine on their own.
Thank you so much to every fan who voted, shared and supported their favorite idol in every round. This competition was decided by you, and your passion made it unforgettable. Stay tuned to Music Mundial for the next big Kpop competition!
