King Charles III is back in the spotlight after ceremonially welcoming Nigerian president Bola Tinubu at Windsor Castle in the first state visit by the leader. As usual, the King addressed some important events between the two nations during this historic visit.

At the castle entrance, Charles and Tinubu inspected a guard of honour in traditional bearskin hats. The Monarchs of the United Kingdom showed items from the Royal Collection reflecting the ties between Britain and the colonial power in charge of Nigeria until 1960.

In the evening,  King Charles III and Tinubu were set to give speeches at a lavish state banquet. The visit was labeled as “historic” as Nigerian companies are expanding operations and creating thousands of jobs in the United Kingdom, strengthening it as a global hub for African business.

Ultimately, the British Monarchy is looking to showcase the strong relationship they have held over decades with different nations. This time, the King proves once again that the Monarchy is necessary and is more alive than ever.
