Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are once again in the eye of the hurricane! The former royal couple couldn’t shake off the rumors of having a bad attitude towards their publicist, as the latest one also quit after just under a year of working for them.
On December 27, Meredith Maine, the now-former publicist for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, quit her role for the couple. A source close to Maines’ exclusive told Page Six that she enjoyed her time, but it was time to go:

“She’s unflappable, and does not complain… she really enjoyed her time there, but at a certain point it’s time to go. Coming from the VC and tech industries, she’s used to so many things going on at all times. Others may have thought it was not a traditional background, but I think it worked well. The amount she was able to do in almost a year was amazing — she launched Meghan’s podcast and TV show… and looked after the Prince’s charity work.”
In addition, Maines told Page Six that she is pursuing new opportunities in 2026 as she did what she had to do with the couple. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan also confirmed the move in a Statement to Page Six:
“Meredith Maines and Method Communications have concluded their work with Archewell. The Duke and Duchess are grateful for their contributions and wish them well.”
Maine worked for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for around 10 months. The loss of the publicist is said to be the 11th time in five years. British media outlets now wonder why they cannot keep any publicist for more than a year, and have opened a heated debate with the community. What do you think?
