The games are back and deadlier than ever! Squid Game Season 3 hit Netflix on June 27 and wasted zero time smashing records. In just three days, it racked up 60.1 million views and debuted at No. 1 in every country where Netflix is available. Yes, every single one!

This third and final season dives back into the twisted world of these popular deadly games, with Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) going full-on revenge mode. There are plot twists, betrayals, and enough suspense to keep your eyes on the screen. But while the finale got positive reviews from critics, it has had a little bit of a mixed reception among viewers. Despite that, it’s still an iconic saga for Korean books!

The original 2021 season pulled in a record-breaking 1.65 billion views in its first 28 days. Lee Jung-jae became the first Asian actor to win an Emmy for Best Lead in a Drama, and director Hwang Dong-hyuk made Emmy history too. Season 2, which dropped in December 2024, got 68 million views in a week and topped the charts in 92 countries. With Season 3 already making big moves, Squid Game proves it’s not just a show, it’s a global phenomenon.
