In a segment of The Breakfast Club with Zenzele Ndebele that the Mirror rebroadcast, Lorren Khumalo talked about her meeting with the couple when they were working as members of the Royal Family and residing at Frogmore Cottage.
She went to the meeting, worried about what they would look like, only to be pleasantly surprised at how relaxed the Duke and Duchess were. “He was in jeans, in a T-shirt, walking barefoot because it was hot,” she said. “When I arrived, he opened his arms and gave me a hug. [I thought, ‘Wow, what a gentleman, what a gem.’ My God, I couldn’t believe it.”
She added: “When I walked in and saw Meghan I thought, ‘My God, what a beautiful woman.’ I felt very comfortable, it wasn’t as formal as I expected, it was a normal house.”
