Through Red Velvet‘s Joy‘s most recent participation on a variety show, she undergoes professional training to secure a career outside of the entertainment industry.
On May 12, the preview clip from the next episode of MBC‘s ‘I Live Alone‘ was released, showing the K-Pop idol preparing for the future by challenging herself to earn a professional pet grooming license, working hard on improving her skills.
In the video, the broadcaster said that Joy “is fully focused as she practices cutting with scissors. She says she wants to obtain a certification because she has been thinking seriously about her future.”
The video follows the Red Velvet member visiting a pet grooming academy for two months to prepare for the certification exam. She explained her motivation, “If I can no longer continue this career, I thought it would be good to have a technical skill.”
During the variety show, she demonstrated her practice sessions and gained confidence, stating, “I’m good at it now. I only practiced scissor work,” while also experiencing difficulties and humorous moments, such as struggling with back pain and other challenges.
