On Saturday, June 14, the production team behind Seulgi’s YouTube activities, “Hi Seulgi,” announced that content scheduled for June 19 and June 26 would not be released. The team revealed that the channel would return with new content in July and asked viewers for their understanding during this difficult moment for the South Korean artist.
Although the official statement did not specify the reason behind the sudden pause, the announcement came shortly after news that Sookijin had passed away in an accident on June 7, 2026. A family member who identified herself as Sookijin’s cousin shared the news through Sookijin’s own channel. Fans were shocked as the content creator had remained active online until shortly before her death and had recently uploaded content with Seulgi.
