Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly favor private flights for long journeys

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are known for maintaining a comfortable lifestyle despite leaving the royal family in 2020. According to reports, the Sussex clan often uses private air travel when making international trips. The aircraft frequently connected with the pair is a 12-seat Cessna jet that can reportedly reach speeds of 592 miles per hour. The plane is said to offer several luxury services and features, including onboard Wi-Fi, adjustable lighting, workspaces, and spacious bathrooms. It remains unclear if the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex own the aircraft or if they simply hire it when needed. Regardless, the luxury aircraft has become closely connected to their travels.

The jet includes luxury features designed for comfort and convenience

A peek into a private jet used by the Sussexes was shown in the Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan,” which premiered in December 2022. The footage showed comfortable seating areas and enough room for the couple’s dogs to travel comfortably. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, also appeared during the journey. Reports suggest Prince Harry and Meghan Markle used private air travel when visiting the United Kingdom for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022. The private aircraft is also said to feature advanced navigation systems, fuel-efficient technology, and safety-focused engineering designed to provide smooth flights.

Private air travel remains available to several members of the royal family

According to aviation sources, the aircraft linked to Harry and Meghan has an estimated value of approximately $7.3 million. However, private aviation is not limited to the former royal couple. Other senior members of the British royal family can also use the RAF Voyager aircraft for official travel when necessary. The aircraft was converted for government use in 2015 for £10 million. Records released by Buckingham Palace later showed that King Charles III took nine private jet flights during the financial year covering 2022 to 2023, highlighting how private air travel continues to play a role in royal transportation.
