A few hours ago, Jennie shares a moving apology after BLACKPINK‘s controversial 10th anniversary, addressing the criticism for their attitude and communication issues.

On August 17th, after her solo schedule concluded, she shared through her Weverse account a series of photos with her members and alone during their anniversary event, accompanied by a sincere message in Korean and English.

Jennie started by explaining she was really sad for not addressing the issues properly before, as she wanted to conclude her festival performances to come, and shared her feelings with a “clearer heart.”

She continued talking about the important role of BLINK during their ten years of career, recognised that their 10th anniversary should be a day of happiness and confessed feeling despair for the result.

“Our 10th anniversary should have been a moment where we could just celebrate and be happy together, and I’m sorry that instead, some of you were left feeling disappointed. There’s really no excuse I can give for that. BLINKs have always been one of the biggest blessings and greatest loves in BLACKPINK’s life. I’m sorry I couldn’t show you a better side of myself in that moment, and more than anything, I just want you to know how thankful I am for everything you’ve given us over these 10 years.”

The BLACKPINK member wishing more years together and expressing her gratitude: “Happy 10 years to us, and thank you for staying by our side and sharing all of it with us.” And finally saying she will do it better in the future.

“I won’t forget everything I’ve learned and felt along the way, and I’ll keep growing and doing my best to give back all the love you’ve given me.

I love you BLINK!”
