On May 16 (KST), IU’s backing company, EDAMEntertainment, posted a tweet mentioning that the artist has donated more than 210 million won (approximately 160 000 dollars) to different organizations that are in charge of helping young people, single parents and people with disabilities.

The Snailof Love, Korean Unwed Mothers’ Families Association, among others, are some of the beneficiary associations. Likewise, the agency wrote the statement thanking IU and her fans:
“We hope that this May can be welcoming to all those who move forward under the warm spring sun, as well as those who take a short break in the shade. And, of course, to IU and UAENA who are partying their hearts out happier than anyone else, thank you always!
”
This is not the first time IU has donated on her birthday. In 2021, it helped with 500 million won (0,000 approx.
) for cancer, single mothers, senior citizens and children’s foundations.
