Amid a recent concert, BTS‘ RM gets emotional by reflecting on their backstage struggles at the 2017 AMAs, contrasting these past experiences with their current success.
On May 27th, the boy group performed their third concert in Las Vegas for their ‘ARIRANG World Tour,’ and during their ending ments, the leader gave some shocking and inspiring words about their debut in American television.
RM said that nine years ago during their first appearance at the award ceremony, “We weren’t given a dressing room… So we had to fix our makeup in the hallway… And every time a celebrity passed by, we’d apologize by saying ‘sorry.'”

He continued comparing that experience with the night before, during their most recent appearance at the AMAs, where they became the winners in the category of ‘Artist of the Year,’ and he said:
“But last night, we used the biggest dressing room. And everyone, all the legendary artists and staff treated us so well and kindly!”
