BTS has unveiled a new music video for “Merry Go Round “through an exclusive collaboration with Spotify. The 7-member group released the visual companion to the track from their fifth full-length album, “ARIRANG.” The video, which is only available on the streaming platform at the moment, expands on the track’s themes of perseverance and the repetitive feeling of daily life through a creative narrative.
The black-and-white clip follows the BTS members as they navigate separate paths before being brought together in the same place. As they revisit memories and share the thoughts they have carried with them, the plot shows the importance of friendship and emotional support. Near the music video’s end, viewers discover that the setting is actually a giant carousel floating above the ocean, which might reflect the image of moving forward despite life’s unpredictable cycles.

The project also holds special meaning for ARMYs (the name BTS fans have) because it revisits the carousel imagery that appeared in BTS’s 2017 music video for Spring Day. By bringing back the symbol from a current perspective, the boy group connects their past and present while presenting a resilience message for their fans. The Spotify-exclusive video comes as the boy band gets back on touring mode for their ARIRANG world tour, which will be visiting Europe throughout June and July following a short break from their celebratory Busan concerts on June 12 and 13.
