BTS achieves an important Spotify milestone with their latest single

BTS reached another chart milestone after their track “Swim” surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify. According to Big Hit Music on May 26, 2026, the song officially became the first track released in 2026 to hit the 500 million streaming milestone. “Swim” is the main single from BTS’ fifth studio album “ARIRANG,” and both were released on March 20th, 2026. According to the group’s leader, RM, the song is inspired by the confusion the members had before and after their military service.

The track had massive chart success after its release

The song quickly gained traction around the world after debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart on April 4, 2026. It remained on the chart for eight consecutive weeks. With similar success, the song reached No. 2 on the Official Singles Chart between March 27 and April 2 in the United Kingdom, becoming BTS’ highest charting song in the country so far. In their home country, South Korea, the track reached the top spot shortly after its release.

Swim by BTS is the Song of the Summer!

The success of “Swim” continued at the 52nd American Music Awards, where the song won the Song of the Summer award on May 25, 2026.
