The names behind BTS’ studio sessions

BTS is coming back as a full group in 2026, and the names behind the music are nothing short of surprising! On November 24, 2025, Jon Bellion revealed, during an interview with Chris Williamson, that he teamed up with Max Martin while working on BTS’ upcoming album in Los Angeles.

Yes, two Grammy winners casually hanging around the studio with BTS! Bellion explained that Max Martin walked in mid-recording, listened for a moment, and then made sharp adjustments like the music magician he is. Martin is known for writing and producing mega hits like “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd, “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift, “Into You” by Ariana Grande, and many, many more. Meanwhile, Bellion helped shape tracks such as “Memories” by Maroon 5 or “The Monster” by Eminem and Rihanna. With these resumes, it’s clear that BTS is receiving premium treatment for their album.

Max Martin and Jon Bellion’s history with BTS

Bellion’s fingerprints have been all over BTS projects for years! His first BTS credit arrived in July of 2023 for Jungkook’s single “Seven” featuring Latto, and he later returned for “Standing Next To You.” Bellion went on to work on Jimin’s track “Who” and also has credits on Jin’s “Another Level.” Max Martin previously joined forces with Coldplay and BTS for “My Universe,” released in 2021. With both names put together, the hype for what they cooked up is real.

What comes next for BTS

After completing their military service, BTS spent July and August of 2025 in Los Angeles focusing on preparing their new album. The comeback is expected in the spring of 2026, which feels far away, but at least the names behind the music are promising. To make everything even juicier, a massive 65-date BTS world tour is reportedly in the works. Fans are ready, wallets dancing, and lightsticks charging.
