After sharing the image of activist Ahn Jung Geun in an Instagram post, actress Han So Hee is under fire as netizens accuse her of being anti-Japanese due to her ideals and share her opinions on a topic that has been very controversial throughout history.
The post had a written message explaining, “This is about the story of people facing monsters that were born in experiments to exploit human beings; we should remember history as it really is“. This created a strong debate in Han So Hee’s fandom.
Thousands of netizens left negative comments claiming that her stance was anti-Japanese and excessive, so messages such as “Too bad, I didn’t think Han So Hee was that kind of person, but now I’m really disappointed“, and “Seriously, you are a terrorist; I won’t follow you anymore“.
However, there were also some who supported her. “Those who say she is anti-Japanese, it’s because they possibly didn’t tell her story well“, said some comments in favor. It should be noted that Ahn Jung Geun is mostly remembered for ending the life of Japanese-born politician Itō Hirobumi in 1909.
