However, the actress has expressed what she would like to happen with her character, as she found the first season a bit boring.
“I want Merlina to be more evil and dark, I would like her to not be a heroine who is always saving the school, as there are many lines about that, I want her to follow an anti-hero attitude instead of a typical hero“, revealed Jenna Ortega in an interview. These statements excited all the fans who were left expectant and asking for more after the first season of the series.
