In a recent statement, SEVENTEEN‘s Jun announced he was cast to lead the new Chinese movie ‘Give Me One More Summer Vacation’ as his next acting project.

On September 9th, Pledis Entertainment announced their artist was selected to star in a new movie, which follows a nostalgic and healing social drama with subtle romance and comedy directed by Bao Jingjing.

This time, Jun will play Jin Zhugang, a university student working part-time at a photo studio where he reencounters with a childhood neighbor and first love, played by Bai Baihe, who returned to her hometown to take care of her mother.

The announcement came alongside the first poster of the idol posing with a casual look with glasses against a rural summer backdrop and drawing that expose the aesthetic of this upcoming story.

This role represents a new challenge for the idol after his last acting job in which he played the villain Hu Feng in the Chinese action-crime film ‘Catching the Wind, Chasing the Shadow,’ which earned him a prestigious nomination for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ at the 38th edition of the Hundred Flore Awards.
