The new year came with a surprising announcement that singer IU and actor Lee Jong Suk have been dating for four months, revealed Korean media Dispatch. The portal published photos of the stars going on secret dates during Christmas.
Moreover, the artists’ representatives confirmed the relationship on Saturday, December 31st.
Lee Jong Suk and IU have known each other for 10 years when they both hosted K-Pop show Inkigayo, building a friendship and recently started dating as a couple. Thus, the actors became the famous “new year couple 2023“.
Dispatch photographed IU and Lee Jong Suk at airports in different cities, as the actors used this tactic to meet secretly and throw the media off the scent. According to the media outlet, the two spent Christmas together with IU’s younger brother on a short two-night, three-day vacation in Nagoya, Japan.
In Dispatch’s photos, the singer and her relative are shown being escorted by Lee Jong Suk’s hired pick-up service. On December 26th, the two traveled separately. IU returned to Korea from Nagoya, while her partner traveled to Tokyo and flew to Korea from there.
