On the other hand Lisa from BLACKPINK, the Thai debuted as a solo artist with “Lalisa” and from there she has achieved unexpected success, with her b-side track “Money”, she gets the most played song by a KPOP solo artist of the year, and is that the track had an unprecedented virality that is now one of the most important KPOP hits of the year.

It all started when Spotify announced that Jungkook was the most successful KPOP solo artist of the year globally, fans celebrated the news with great pride, and they really went out of their way throughout the year to play their favorite idol’s music. ARMY was undoubtedly very proud.

But everything changed when it was suddenly announced that Spotify had made some changes to its TOP KPOP ARTISTS 2022 lists.

The platform’s adjustment made the previously revealed rankings change, and that’s how the next day Spotify reveals that actually the most played KPOP solo artist of the year was BLACKPINK’s Lisa and not Jungkook from BTS.

The news was received with much pride in the BLINK fandom, and that is because BLACKPINK was also the most played female group of the year. Although on the other hand, a section of ARMY was really angry and accused the platform of being corrupt.

Today December 2, Spotify announced that although Lisa beat Jungkook, there was no reason to be angry as Jungkook was the most played male act and Lisa was the most played female act.
