Sad news for Britney Spears fans. On Saturday afternoon, May 14th, the singer posted a statement on her Instagram where she claims to have suffered a miscarriage. The 40-year-old singer announced last month that she and her fiancé Sam Asghari were expecting their first child.
“It is with our deepest sadness that we announce that we lost our miracle baby early in our pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any family member.
Perhaps we should have waited to announce it until the pregnancy was further along, but we were very excited to share the news.Our love for each other is our strength.
We will continue to try to grow our beautiful family.
We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult time“.

Five weeks ago, the singer had posted a message about losing weight, then gaining it back… then taking a pregnancy test and finally declaring, “I’m having a baby“. Britney also posted a series of nude photos last week, but said they were all from “before there was a child inside me“.
Shortly after receiving the sad news, Britney said: “Sam and I decided to run away to clear our minds and focus on the blessings we have, between us and my children“. She and Sam were in Cancun earlier this week, apparently trying to have some fun while jet skiing.
