With BTS’ member J-Hope’s recent 28th birthday, a question has risen between fans, who seem to be worried about the group’s future as they will irremediably have to face the obligatory military service in their native South Korea.
In that country, men between 18 and 28 years old have the obligation to do military service for at least 2 years, which worries their fans, ARMYs, now that all 7 of the group members are in that age range.
Since last year, BTS’ promoting and managing company, HYBE, has made everything possible to attempt to delay the enrollment of the members in the tropes, they have even been confirmed to attempt to get a permanent exoneration of that legal obligation, with no apparent success.
It’s also worth noting that, up until the moment of this redaction, none of them has denied the possibility to pause their music careers to enlist themselves into the tropes of the national army.
