In a new video vlog together, Red Velvet‘s Yeri and Seulgi share new details about the car accident they suffered in 2016, shocking fans by revealing the seriousness of what happened that night.
On September 16th, both K-Pop idols reunite for a new video in the youngest YouTube channel, where they take the opportunity to give fans a wider vision of this accident, which was described by SM Entertainment as a minor car accident.
Although the agency reported fans back then about this situation, revealing that Seulgi and Yeri crashed into a cleaning truck while returning to their dorm in a taxi around 10 PM, resulting in a hospital visit to treat minor injuries and bruising they suffered.
However, the girls recalled that it was more than a minor accident for them and revealed that it happened when they were going back to their dorms after a failed visit to Lotte World during the Halloween period.
The accident occurred when the taxi took a curve. Seulgi and the driver were positioned on the inside of the curve, while Yeri was sitting on the outside, which threw her towards the front of the vehicle when the crash happened, causing her eye injury.
Seulgi shared in the video that watching the white part of her member eye became completely red and blood was running down towards her mouth; she even said that Yeri’s eyeball appeared to have been pushed back into her eye socket.
For her part, the youngest member of Red Velvet revealed that for a long time she wondered about undergoing surgery, but she finally decided to live with the injury and its aftereffects, as well as depression and trauma surrounding cars after the crash.
