BLACKPINK’s Lisa, RAYE, Sienna Spiro, Shaboozey, GENER8ION and Yung Lean are now officially part of the performance lineup for the 2026 MTV VMAs. The newly announced artists will share the MTV stage with Madonna, who is set to open the show. For most of the performers, the event will mark their first VMA appearance, while Lisa returns after performing “New Woman” and “Rockstar” at the 2024 edition of the ceremony.

The rapper and singer will make the television debut of “SaWaDiKa,” the new single from her upcoming EP PRESS PLAY, which will be released on October 23. The BLACKPINK member has earned a total of 10 career VMA nominations, including four in 2026, making her the most-nominated KPop solo artist in the award show’s history. In addition, she became the first KPop soloist to win a VMA in 2022 with “Lalisa” and has since collected two more wins for “Rockstar” and “Born Again,” hit songs from her debut solo album “Alter Ego.”

Meanwhile, Madonna’s opening show will mark her first live performance at the VMAs since her 2003 joint performance with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. It will also mark her fifth time opening the ceremony. Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the 2026 VMAs will air live from Los Angeles on September 27 on CBS, with a simulcast on MTV and Paramount+ in the U.S. Additional performers, presenters, and special guests will be announced next week.
