BLACKPINK’s Lisa has confirmed that she is working on her second solo album. During an August 20, 2026, interview with Vogue Korea, the “Rockstar” hitmaker explained that the upcoming project is still in its early stages and that she has been recording new music in the United States. Despite the exciting news, Lisa did not reveal a release timeline and kept details to a minimum. However, she confirmed that she is experimenting with different ideas as the album takes form.

The Vogue Korea statement coincides with recent teasers unveiled on August 20, 2026, by Lisa’s self-founded company LLOUD and Sony Music Entertainment. The labels launched the website hellosawadika.com, which features the Thai greeting “Sawadika” and the word “HELLO” in several languages, including Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Spanish, English, Italian, and Portuguese.  It also includes a countdown that is scheduled to end on August 24, 2026. In addition, similar countdown teasers have reportedly appeared in public locations across the singer’s home country, Thailand.

According to the magazine, the general plan is that the upcoming album will be intended for her Las Vegas residency performances, “Viva La Lisa,” taking place in November 2026. Addressing her new work, Lisa said: “In the K-pop system, I only focus on work. But here in America, it’s more relaxed. The atmosphere is different. It was also helpful to have the power to lead my career.”
