Jisoo has finally become the last BLACKPINK member to appear on Hot Ones after her episode was released on July 30, 2026! During the burning interview, the South Korean star ate spicy wings while discussing her music, her favorite English expressions, and her habit of eating spicy food before performances. Previously, members Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa made an appearance in the popular interview show, but host Sean Evans expected Jisoo to handle the spicy wings better as she had been labeled as BLACKPINK’s member with the strongest spice tolerance.
While answering questions, JISOO discussed her upcoming first full-length solo album. She said she wanted the project to show several sides of her personality and musical taste. The album includes different styles that she enjoys listening to, allowing her to add more variety and color to the final result. In addition, Jisoo explained that making a solo mini-album in 2025 helped her understand that she wanted to explore her identity more deeply as an individual artist ahead of a full body of work.
“I made the effort to show a variety of charms. Whether it’s musical styles that I really liked or putting in different styles I liked listening [to], it was to add a bit of color to the album.”
The singer described the new album as a much bigger adventure than her earlier solo work, which included tracks like “Earthquake” and “Your Love.” After years of performing music as part of BLACKPINK, the KPop star now wants listeners to understand her personal interests and artistic direction clearly. As per the episode itself, Jisoo remained calm through most of the spicy food challenge, proving that her reputation was accurate. Even though she reached her spice limit by the end of the interview, Evans did agree that she was a great match for Hot Ones.
