French President Emmanuel Macron made an unexpected appearance at BTS’ concert at Stade de France in Paris on Friday, July 17, 2026, drawing attention from fans around the world. The head of state attended the boy group’s first concert in France alongside First Lady Brigitte Macron. Their visit quickly became a popular topic on social media, with concertgoers sharing photos and videos of the presidential couple enjoying the performances of the ARIRANG World Tour in the country.

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, Macron shared a 17-second video on Instagram showing BTS performing their smash hit “Dynamite” in front of the sold-out stadium. The French President accompanied the short video with the message “Bienvenue à Paris!” which means “Welcome to Paris!” in English. The connection between France and BTS has also been visible through recent diplomatic events. During South Korean President Lee Jae Myung’s state visit to France in April 2026, he gave Brigitte Macron some signed albums from several South Korean artists, including BTS.

The seven-member team is currently traveling across Europe as part of the ARIRANG World Tour, which has continued to sell out major stadiums around the world. The seven-member team is scheduled to perform in the City of Light on two sold-out dates on July 17 and July 18, 2026. Then, they will mark a historic appearance during the first FIFA World Cup Halftime Show on July 19, co-headlining the musical event alongside Justin Bieber, Shakira, and Madonna.
