J-Hope hints at possible new FIFA music
BTS fans are wondering if the boy group is preparing a new song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after member J-Hope seemed to tease the possibility during a Weverse livestream on July 8, 2026. While reading questions from fans, the rapper came across one asking whether BTS would release a song for FIFA this year. Instead of giving a direct answer, he playfully reacted with “Hmmmm,” without confirming or denying the question. His expression quickly caught the attention of fans, who shared clips of the livestream across social media and began speculating that BTS could have new music planned for the tournament’s final.

The speculation comes shortly after FIFA announced that BTS will co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The seven-member boy band will perform alongside Justin Bieber, Shakira, and Madonna, with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin helping curate the lineup. This halftime show will also support FIFA’s Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to expand access to education and soccer programs for children around the world. Even though BTS has not confirmed any new song attached to the event, the moment already marks another major milestone in the history of the soccer event.
Fans await official confirmation
During the livestream, J-Hope shared that he is excited to perform at the World Cup and revealed that fellow member Suga has been keeping the rest of the members updated on tournament results while they travel on their ARIRANG World Tour. He also revealed he is personally supporting Norway, saying, “Of course, I cheered for the Korean players so much. Personally, this time, Team Norway.” After the World Cup Final, BTS will return to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford for two ARIRANG World Tour concerts on August 1 and August 2, 2026, giving fans even more to look forward to this summer.
