BTS’ V officially debuted as the first global ambassador for Jinro on Thursday, July 9, 2026, with the release of a teaser video across the brand’s social media platforms. The short clip introduces the “Rainy Days” singer inside an elevator before showing him with a Jinro box. Before his official debut, HiteJinro announced that V had been selected as the first global ambassador in the brand’s history on July 3, 2026. His ambassadorship succeeds singer-songwriter IU, who previously represented the brand.

The appointment is considered an important moment for South Korea’s liquor industry. Soju brands have traditionally chosen leading female celebrities as the faces for their advertising campaigns, including Lee Hyori, Suzy, and Jennie. V is now one of the few male artists to represent the popular soju brand. HiteJinro explained that the BTS member reflects the values the company wants to share with consumers around the world, saying:

“V best represents the values and identity that Jinro pursues,” the company affirmed while unveiling their collaboration. “Through this partnership, we hope to connect more closely with consumers around the world and further expand Jinro’s global presence.”

The campaign also supports HiteJinro’s growing international business. In June 2026, UK trade publication Drinks International named Jinro the world’s bestselling spirit for the twenty-fifth consecutive year after the brand sold 94.5 million nine-liter cases during 2025. This campaign marks yet another milestone in V’s ever-growing collaboration projects, as the BTS member continues to work with global brands, including Celine, Cartier, TirTir, and Coca-Cola.
