Names like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars and KPop Demon Hunters were bringing fans back to independent record stores for exclusive releases! The Record Store Day took place on April 18, 2026, in the United States. According to Luminate, more than 350 albums and singles were released for the event.
Pink Floyd had the top-selling album from Record Store Day 2026 with the four-LP clear vinyl edition of Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975. The project was also released as a two-CD set, which ranked as the No. 24 best-selling album title from the event. The soundtrack to the KPop Demon Hunters movie also performed strongly, placing at Nos. 2 and 6 with two different vinyl editions, the HUNTR/X edition and the Saja Boys edition.
Bruno Mars, who served as the Record Store Day 2026 Ambassador, also had one of the biggest releases with Collaborations. This is an 11-track double vinyl compilation, which includes collaborative hits such as “Nothin’ On You,” “Uptown Funk,” and “Die With a Smile.” Mars follows other recent Record Store Day Ambassadors, including Post Malone in 2025, Paramore in 2024, Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires in 2023, Taylor Swift in 2022, and Pearl Jam in 2019.
