BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez have reached a major milestone with “Ice Cream,” as the music video has officially passed one billion views on YouTube. Released on August 28, 2020, the bright and playful video became one of the most recognizable pop collaborations of that moment. The track features BLACKPINK members Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé alongside Selena Gomez in a colorful retro world filled with pastel sets, an ice cream truck, and joyful dance scenes. With this milestone, “Ice Cream” becomes BLACKPINK’s eighth music video to cross the one billion mark and Selena Gomez’s fourth.

The song was the second single from BLACKPINK’s first studio album, The Album, which dropped on October 2, 2020. The track performed moderately on the charts, spending eight weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching #13. “Ice Cream” also stayed on the Billboard Global 200 for 14 weeks and peaked at #8. Meanwhile, The Album itself reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and remained on the chart for 26 weeks, confirming BLACKPINK’s growing international dominance during that period.

Since debuting in 2016 with Square One, BLACKPINK has now become one of KPop’s leading names. Most recently, they released their DEADLINE EP, which spawned hits like the dance-pop tune “JUMP” and the electronic masterpiece “GO.” As of now, the members are mostly focused on their solo projects.
