RM spoke about BTS’s connection during a recent YouTube appearance.
BTS recently returned with the album ARIRANG after three years and nine months away as a full group, and leader RM has now opened up about the boy band’s strong relationship. During an appearance with V on Moon Sang Hoon’s YouTube show, RM talked about how BTS has stayed together for 14 years without losing a member. His comments gave fans a closer look at the trust and respect that still hold the seven-member boy group together after more than a decade working together.
RM said living together again helped the members reconnect in a meaningful way.
In the video, the rapper and songwriter explained that BTS traveled to Los Angeles and lived together again for the first time in many years. He said the experience was surprisingly comfortable, even with seven men sharing one home. According to RM, the group followed a simple routine that included working out, eating meals together, writing music in the studio, and ending the day with long, late-night conversations. During that time, BTS worked on around 100 songs, and 14 of them were selected for ARIRANG.

RM believes kindness and a shared purpose have kept BTS united.
RM shared that it is remarkable that all seven members have remained together for 14 years without anyone leaving. He explained that the members are kind, thoughtful, and deeply committed to one another. He also said their desire to give something meaningful to ARMY (that is the name BTS fans have) has made their bond even stronger. The boy group will celebrate 14 years since their debut on June 13, 2026, and RM’s comments assure fans that the “Dynamite” singers and rappers remain rock solid and ready to keep making fans happy.
“It is truly remarkable that we have stayed together for 14 years without a single member leaving. The members are genuinely kind and considerate. More than anything, we all share the desire to convey something to our ARMY, which strengthens our connection even more. I am really moved by that.”
