The Wales family plans activities in Scotland during Harry’s court visit

Prince Harry is returning to London next week for the opening of his High Court trial. The Duke of Sussex will attend the final phase in his legal actions against Associated Newspapers. While he prepares for the legal proceedings, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton will not be in the capital. Instead, the Prince and Princess of Wales are scheduled for a joint work trip in Scotland on January 21, 2026.

The royal couple will visit Stirling for sports and community events

The royal agenda includes two engagements in the city of Stirling. First, Prince William and Princess Kate will attend the National Curling Academy. They’re scheduled to meet Great Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic curling teams. In addition, their visit supports athletes ahead of the Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games. Afterthat, the pair will tour Radical Weavers, a weaving studio that also functions as a charity. Participants learn the cultural history of Scottish tartan and participate in handweaving projects that produce blankets and textiles for people in need.

Prince Harry stays focused on legal action while family remains distant

While the Prince and Princess of Wales work in Scotland, Harry is expected to spend much of late January in the British court. The Duke of Sussex has joined  Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley in a case accusing Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday, of illegal information gathering. The publisher has denied all claims “vigorously,” according to the BBC.

Prince Harry will not meet with King Charles during this visit either. The King is also in Scotland and has an engagement set for January 19 at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. The father and son last met for the first time in 18 months in September, with a short 55-minute private tea with King Charles at Clarence House.
