There are still so many questions surrounding BTS’ Jungkook, the BTS member who spent the past 18 months largely out of the spotlight, fulfilling his military duties with the South Korean army. Yet, when the idol meets the press in a sunlit New York studio for a major cover shoot for Rolling Stone, his focus is firmly on the present.
The idol made a major surprise to all of his fans, better known as ARMY, with an appearance at Calvin Klein’s Spring/Summer show, also represented during his photoshoot. The global ambassador spoke candidly about life after enlistment, his evolving mindset, and what lies ahead for both his solo career and BTS.

Since completing his service, the Golden Maknae has embraced discipline and simplicity. However, he confessed that what he missed the most during his long journey in the military: making music.
“During my time in the military, I couldn’t work on music even when I wanted to.”
Fortunately, that stillness reignited his longing to create. Musically, he remains in motion; the idol is back in the studio, reuniting with his bandmates, confirming his work is underway on the next BTS album, alongside continued explorations as a solo artist.
