BTS’ V takes over Vogue Japan in style

During his interview, V spoke openly about his artistic journey since debuting with BTS in 2013 and how his 2023 solo album Layover allowed him to explore a more introspective side of himself. After completing his military service this year, the KPop sensation is back in the spotlight, especially in fashion. He has attended Paris Fashion Week, collaborated with Celine and Cartier, but most importantly, he has been preparing BTS’ confirmed 2026 album and world tour.
The idol is in a bit of a nostalgic mode, revealing that he cried after being asked what he felt during the group’s 12th anniversary on June 13, 2025. All seven members appeared together publicly for the first time after completing their military services at J-Hope’s concert, marking another emotional achievement in their careers.
The love for his fellow members remains strong 
The interview becomes especially emotional when V talks about his members. Watching the members grow through solo work has deepened his respect for them, noting how different yet aligned they all are.
“I have such deep respect for them. It goes beyond words like ‘cool’ or ‘inspiring.’ Our aims take us in similar directions, yet each of us is completely different. When I see them on stage, they’re so impressive that sometimes it doesn’t feel like they’re the people standing right next to me.”
When asked where he would travel with them, his answer is simple and very V-coded . Anywhere is perfect, as long as they are together.
“Anywhere would be fun with them. Wherever we go, we’d probably say, ‘Let’s come back here again.’ Except going to the office, that’s different,” he laughs.
